Mikael has been a Partner and Chairman of the Board at IMS Talent since 2013. He works with national and multinational companies helping them to acquire and develop their top talent. Mikael focuses on the placement of Board members and C-level executives. He also specializes in Board Evaluations and Executive Team Assessments.
Mikael has a broad experience in leading large and complex organizations with strong focus on customers, profits and value creation. He has recruited and assessed a large amount of senior talent during his years of working as a President and CEO of one of the largest listed banking and insurance groups in Finland. Prior to his banking career he worked in senior finance positions in the industrial field in a listed company which is the global leader in complete life-cycle power solutions for the marine and energy markets. He has extensive non-executive Board experience in several listed and non-listed companies since mid-1990s.
Mikael holds a Masters degree from the Helsinki School of Economics. His working languages are Finnish, English and Swedish.
